The three progression layers
Steam’s official description names skill trees, gear, and spirit stones together. Read them as one loadout rather than three independent checklists.
| Layer | Evaluation question |
|---|---|
| Skill tree | What action or command does this unlock or improve? |
| Gear | Does it make the chosen action safer, faster, or stronger? |
| Spirit stones | Does the modifier support the same repeatable combat plan? |
The playstyles officially described
The store page explicitly lists ranged, stealthy, and aggressive combat. These are useful build labels, but they are not proof that every branch has equal strength in every encounter. Use them to define what your loadout is trying to do.
How to read a skill node
Before buying a node, write down four things:
- The action or Koo command it changes.
- The condition required for the benefit.
- The resource or opportunity cost.
- Whether you can trigger it reliably in your actual play pattern.
A conditional bonus that rarely occurs is not an early priority merely because its maximum number is high.
Why this page avoids a complete database
We have not found an official public table containing every node, unlock requirement, and patch-adjusted value. Publishing a generated database would turn uncertain launch-week observations into false precision. Individual nodes should be added only with a screenshot, video timestamp, or a repeatable in-game record tied to a version.
A reusable build test
After changing the tree, test the same short encounter or training situation. Keep the weapon, gear, spirit stones, difficulty, and platform constant. If several variables change at once, you cannot know which part of the loadout caused the result.
