Recommended early priority framework
This is a decision order, not a claim that a specific named node is mathematically best on every patch.
- Reliability: improve a move, range, or command that you already land consistently.
- Survivability: reduce the cost of learning enemy patterns.
- Resource conversion: strengthen a Koo option you can afford through normal parries.
- Specialization: deepen one chosen style after the first three needs are covered.
Pick the branch that solves your failure state
| If you are losing because… | Prioritize… |
|---|---|
| Close-range timing is inconsistent | Safer range, recovery, or defensive utility |
| Parries are reliable but damage is low | A payoff that uses the resulting command points |
| Koo’s meter sits full | A command you understand and can deploy often |
| You rarely trigger a passive | Replace it with a condition you control |
Why named tier lists are risky at launch
Launch-week lists often mix different difficulty modes, platforms, progress states, and pre-patch values. A convincing screenshot of a node proves its text on that build; it does not prove the node is best for every player or that the wording remained unchanged.
A five-minute skill test
Record the version, difficulty, loadout, and a repeatable encounter. Test the same situation before and after buying one node. Note whether it changed damage, safety, resource generation, or only convenience. This produces a better personal answer than copying a tier rank without context.
Publication standard for named recommendations
We will add named early nodes only after their text and unlock path are captured, the game version is known, and their effect is observable or corroborated by more than one independent source. Until then, the framework above is intentionally conservative.
