Verification method
Sources and verification
Every guide states what kind of evidence supports it, when the evidence was checked, and which game version the answer is intended to describe.
Official
Developer, publisher, platform store, support post, or first-party presentation.
Video-observed
Visible in attributable footage. A visual observation is not promoted into an unexplained mechanic.
Community consensus
Repeated across independent reports with enough context to compare.
Source order
- Game Freak or Fictions statements and official patch notices.
- Official platform pages and store metadata.
- Official gameplay footage and developer presentations.
- Independent reporting with named hardware, version, or method.
- Community reports used as leads, not automatic fact.
Conflict handling
When sources conflict, the page states the disagreement, preserves platform and date context, and avoids choosing the most convenient number. An unresolved conflict can remain published only when the uncertainty itself is useful; otherwise the page stays draft and is excluded from indexing.
Update triggers
Patch notices, changed store metadata, new official footage, and repeated correction reports trigger a review. Search impressions alone never rewrite a fact.
